The 2019 Annual Meeting has been postponed to a date and time yet to be determined.

Due to the requirements of social distancing in response to coronavirus COVID-19, Kelly Community’s 57th Annual Meeting is postponed to a date and time to be determined.

 

Board of Directors Election Process
In accordance with the Credit Union Bylaws (Article V, Section 1) the Chairman of the Board of Directors will “appoint a nominating committee of not fewer than three members.” Board Chairman Michael Barr has made the required appointments to the Nominating Committee: Bill Shanholtz Jr (Chairman), Jim Voit Jr., and David Moody,

Nominations by the Nominating Committee
As directed by Credit Union Bylaws (Article V, Section 1), “It is the duty of the nominating committee to nominate at least one member for each vacancy, including any unexpired term vacancy for which elections are being held.” The committee nominates the following members for a three-year term, each: Harold Sweat, Lynza Roberson, and Chris Antal.

Notice
Election of new board members will not be conducted by ballot. Nominations or new business will not be accepted from the floor at the time of the Annual Business Meeting. Nominations for new board members from the membership are accepted by petition with the signatures of 500 members in good standing and submitted to the Board Secretary by Friday, December 27, 2019, at 2105 W. Grande Boulevard as was stated in the October 2019 Call for Nominations Notice. The petition must nominate a member of the credit union and include a written description of their qualifications. In accordance with Board policy, any new business for the Annual Meeting must be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Board by Friday, December 27, 2019. Any new business submitted in writing to the Secretary will be responded to in writing at the Annual Meeting. There will not be a call for new business at the meeting.

 

Nominating Committee Nominations:
Board of Directors Nominees

Harold Sweat. Mr. Sweat is an incumbent board member with 23 years of credit union experience. Mr. Sweat worked for the Goodyear Tire Company for 35.9 years. He also served on the USW Local 746 Budget and Financial Committee for 14 years and the Institute for Career Development Oversite Committee for 14 years.

Lynza Roberson. Mr. Roberson worked for the Kelly-Springfield Tire company for 39 years. Mr. Roberson is an incumbent board member that has served on the Kelly Community Federal Credit Union Board of Directors for 24 years. He has been married to Christine Roberson for more than 42 years. Mr. Roberson is also a member of the Hopewell Valley Baptist Church where he is a member of the Male Choir and serves on the Trustee Board for the church.

Chris Antal. Mr. Antal worked for the Goodyear Tire Company for 25 years and then started a new career as a Financial Advisor. Mr. Antal was a Financial Advisor for over five years before transitioning to his current position as Adjunct Professor at Tyler Junior College in Industrial Maintenance. He has served on the Kelly Community FCU Supervisory Committee for more than five years and most recently filled the vacant Board of Directors position held by Mr. A.D. Robertson prior to his retirement in early 2019.
