Application Deadline: April 19, 2021, at 4:30pm
Kelly Community is now accepting applications for the 2021 Kelly Community Merle Hinkle Memorial Scholarship for Volunteerism.
Each year we are honored to award scholarships to two deserving students who live out community volunteerism. Community involvement is a value cherished by our credit union and our former Board Chairman, Merle Hinkle.
We will award two $1,000 scholarships.
I am pursuing a Master’s Degree one course at a time. This would cover most of my tuition for a 7-week semester. I am not a full-time student, I am a full time employee and a full-time father with five children. Can I still apply?
Hi Paul,
Great question! This year’s scholarship rules require that applicants be full-time students to qualify for consideration. We wish you well in pursuit of your Master’s Degree. Working full-time with five children and taking classes is admirable. Thank you for being part of the Kelly Community family!
Hello, my name is Debbie Hays and I am 65 years old and presently attending Kilgore College where I am going for an Associate Degree in Substance Abuse Counselor. I am disabled and on low income. So, I really would appreciate a $1000 scholarship to help with college expenses. Sincerely, Debbie Hays
