Time to Check Your Credit Score
Remember to check your updated credit score for free inside Online Banking. We update it every three months so you can monitor any suspicious activity, like accounts opened in your name that you didn’t open. This is really important this time of year, because most people are using their credit cards more frequently, and scammers are looking for opportunities to steal your information.
Checking your score is easy. Here’s how you do it in Online Banking:
- Click on the menu button.
- Select “My FICO Score.”
- That’s it!
If you find something incorrect on your credit report – like accounts you didn’t open or collection notices for accounts you don’t have – there’s a link that lets you report those things directly to the credit bureau.
You can also get a free credit report monthly at annualcreditreport.com. These free reports don’t include your credit score, but you can at least see if you have any suspicious activity on your report.
In addition to finding your credit score in Online Banking, you can also set goals and put actions in place for improving your credit score. There’s no cost for these services. It’s all included with your Kelly Community membership.
